How it works

STL and 3MF store triangle geometry. For STL, dimensions are in undeclared input units. For 3MF we read the packaged XML locally, resolve Core geometry and Production-extension model parts inside the archive, apply model units and component/build transforms, and display dimensions in millimeters. The default view shows one object before its build placement; original object dimensions and placed dimensions are labeled separately. The all-object layout includes spacing between objects. Models stay in your browser.

Important limitations

Volume is reliable only for watertight meshes with consistent face orientation. Overlapping 3MF parts can cause the summed geometric volume to overestimate the union. Slicer profiles, color, textures and supports are not reproduced. Network references and unsupported required extensions are rejected. Model volume is not printed filament volume.
