How it works

Structural JSON comparison is easier to review than plain text diff when whitespace and key order change. Objects are compared recursively, while array positions remain significant. Every difference includes its JSON path and whether a property was added, removed or changed.

Important limitations

The tool compares parsed JSON data and does not preserve whitespace or duplicate object keys. Array reordering counts as a change. Very large JSON objects may be slow on a mobile browser.
