How it works

For JPEG, the tool removes APP1 (EXIF/XMP), APP13 (IPTC) and comment markers. For PNG it removes eXIf, text and timestamp chunks. No pixels are decoded or recompressed during removal, so there is no additional JPEG quality loss.

Important limitations

This is NOT a guarantee of total anonymization: nonstandard metadata, steganography, filename and cloud-service logs may still reveal information. This tool does not process HEIC or video files.
